But success like this doesn’t just come overnight. The founders at Baileys were inspired by the country’s treasures of delicious dairy cream and Irish whiskey, wanting to make a drink that fused the two. They played on traditions of the dairy industry, as well as triple-distilling of whiskey to make Baileys. So I’m sure you imagine there was a huge amount of trial and error over the two years it took to make the perfect bottle. And we’re so grateful they were patient enough to nail the recipe.
