Louis Roederer remains wholly independent and family owned to this day with Frederic Rouzaud the 7th generation family to manage the business. All their grapes are sourced from the Grand Cru and Premier Cru regions of Champagne thus ensuring wonderful consistency and quality.
Tasting notes
Magnificent from a magnum, this champagne was first created in 1876 for Alexander II of Russia, Cristal is viewed by many as the first Prestige Cuvee Champagne. With its extra ageing (minimum 7 years) and use of only the finest grapes from the region this is a Champagne of great character and tension. Great to drink now, but will most certainly keep for a good 10 years (in the right conditions!). Extremely limited and presented in its own branded box.
